Play Date @ Old Works

Babies on a golf course? We like to start 'em out young, real young!

Last weeked, we met Ryan's cousin, and his wife and baby at the Old Works Golf Course in Anaconda. The moms and babies made it a full nine holes, but when the wind and rain started to pick up, we decided to move the party into the club house. We took up a far corner of their dining room and managed to keep the little ones under control while we ate and visited. Parker did surprisingly well for missing his regular nap times and having to deal with the inclement weather. The day was great fun and it was nice to see our friends from Missoula!

Parker, Larisa and Aaron
Aaron is 9 months and is crawling everywhere. A few times he almost crawled right over the top of Parker, but Parker didn't seem to mind. He liked the attention.

Learning how to share.

SOLD!

SOLD!

Exciting news... we've just sold our online retail business, Liquid Soul Gifts. It proves that we were doing something right and it was a venture worth it's while. We were glad, that with all the work we put into it, others were able to see its unique value. All the while, we weren't as successful as we had hoped :( we both learned ALOT about being entrepreneurs. We decided to sell because we knew its potential for growth was not being met. It needed a lot more marketing attention than we could give. We had some great marketing plans and no funds (or time for that matter) to realize them. The journey was a great learning experience in all aspects (for one, Quickbooks and I are no longer enemies).

We'd like to thank all of our family and friends for your support and purchases over the past 2 + years. Also, a special thanks to Brad & Jaci for their guidance. Farewell Liquid Soul Gifts. Long live Bolin Enterprises!

And, we'd like to say Congratulations to the proud new owner's, Rick & Cheryl !!! They've been such a pleasure to work with and we wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

And last but not least... I've just added some really neat new products to the 'Rememberance Jewelry' line. They are sterling silver pendants that hold keepsakes; your baby's lock of hair, a scripture, etc... Check them out if you're curious. Click on any of the images to access. I'm sure the new owner's would appreciate your traffic. :)

First and Thirty

During the last weekend of May our family celebrated some major milestones: one thritieth birthday and one first birthday! The Bolin-Dalbey clan got together for a big birthday bash and bar-b-que. Afterwards we got to burn off the yummy cake with a pink pinata and some barefoot football. Parker did so well with all the commotion and loud stimulation that our family generates. He was passed from young to old and was happy as a clam all evening, albeit very tired when we got home.
Happy Birthday to Ellee and Matt (and all the other May babies that we have in our family: Grandma Judy, Uncle Brad, Aunt Jan, Micah and me)!!!

Lil' 16 Weeker!

Mommy's Prince

Our little buddy is FOUR months old today! It has been an amazing and adventurous four months. Ryan and I can't quite remember what life was like without him.

Parker is getting bigger each day and is constantly learning new tricks. He has developed quite a strong oral fixation. Anything near his face or hands will eventually end up in his mouth. He's just tasting the world! He can sit up with help from mom or dad or his bumbo chair and has just discovered his feet. He's fascinated by them! He can't quite reach them yet, but he sometimes 'catches' them and explores his toes.

Coos, goos and burbles are part of his daily converstions. He can get quite loud, when he gets going. He trys out new syllables and sounds everyday. Yesterday, I heard the 'B' sound for the first time. And when I was changing his diaper after a nap last weekend, I could have sworn he sang part of a Mozart tune from his musical mobile.

I can now get him to giggle occasionally. It usually involves doing something silly like jumping up and down and singing Patty Cake or singing numbers in Spanish and then kissing him on the nose. He loves the anticipation of it and starts smiling or laughing before the finale. He also enjoys standing up. We hang on to his little hands and stand him up on his feet. I think it's exciting for him to see the world from this new perspective.
We are thoroughly enjoying parenthood and the lifestyle changes that come with it. Parker is the most precious blessing that has entered our lives. And we are thankful for every moment we have with him!

It's summertime!!! There's no need for clothes.

He likes to kick and grab at toys while on his tummy. With just a little more practice and muscle milk, he'll be crawling around in no time.

He enjoys his bathtimes more now that wamer weather has finally arrived. His first bathtoy is a singing seahorse. It keeps him occupied while I clean his little parts and crevices.

A is for Adorable!

I tried to catch a smile; just a little slow on the trigger though.

Little feet. Watch out these toenails are dangerous, even after they've been filed!

Taking a break with Grandpa after digging fence-post holes. He looks like a little jockey in this outfit.

Fell asleep with mommy after nursing. I was still trying to burp him. I hate those pesky little gas bubbles.
