A Tribute to Capi
A fellow Saddle-ite and dear friend (to many) has just passed from this world. She had been battling cancer for years and is finally at peace. At this moment she is probably riding a pure white stallion with our Maker; galloping through pristine pastures and over crystal clear brookes.
She was a great woman, mother and wife, who made an impact on my life in such a short time. I rode with Capi in the Bozeman Saddle-ites Performance Drill Team for only two years. The first time I met her at Saddle-ites practice, I was waiting for my horse to arrive and ended up chatting with her for several minutes. She was so personable and made me feel welcome. I got to know her better and quickly came to find that she had a big heart. She was selfless and sacrificed much of her time for her daughter. She had a great patience and happiness about her, and always had an encouraging word to share. I will miss her smiling face and her giant heart that she gave so willingly to others. I saw her about 6 weeks ago and knew she was in pain, but could see that she still had so much joy in her heart! She always did...
In the two years, that I had known Capi, I had never seen a smile leave her face. She truly is an inspiration to all who have known her. Capi, you will be missed!
