Kim & Cesar (finally) Getting Married

These two met around the same time Ryan and I did. It's about time they got hitched!
Their wedding day was a beautiful one. It started out with an inspirational ceremony on the beach in Santa Barbara and culminated in a mexian style fiesta on State Street with lots of dancing. It was so great to be back in SB at my old college stomping grounds.
Parker was pleasantly happy with no naps all day. Since the ceremony started at 11:00 am (just after his usual naptime) he had to skip his am nap. I think he got his energy from all the pretty girls he was flirting with.
The wedding party

Exchanging vows. Can you feel the love?

Parker meeting my friend Erica, his 'Aunt E,' for the first time. She fell in love with him.

Sarah and Kevin with Parker. These two are next to tie the knot (and have babies?). I finally got to meet Kevin and absolutely adore him. He is just so perfect for my Sarah.

Kim takes a break from dancing salsa, roomba, ranchera, etc... to pose for a pick.

We call ourselves the Anapamu bunch.
Me with my best college buds and roomies. Yes, we ALL lived under the same roof and there weren't ever any cat fights.

Birthday Party Chaos!

We went to our friend Seth's sixth birthday party. I lost count of how many little boys were running around yelling and rough housing. I think someone injected them with sugar at the door. It was madness! I think I saw a glimpse into my future. Haha!

Everett is Seth's hero. He saved him from King Kong, who appeared at his birthday party last year and terrified all the little guys, until they figured out it was just a costume.

Birthday boy goosin the baby

Aaron and Parker. This kid took an instant liking to Parker. He even missed the birthday song and blowing out of the candles, just so he could hold him. He didn't want to give him up. It started out as curiosity. After he was done playing, he came over and starred at Parker and asked questions. Then he went on to state "uummm, I think he wants me to hold him." Ha, so I let the little boy hold him. Then, "ummm, I think he wants to go eat some cake with me." And he proceeded to stand up with Parker. Yikes! That scared me just a little, since he didn't have a great hold on him. But Parker enjoyed this little guy, nonetheless. I thought it was interesting that he was so curious about the baby, while the other little boys were off running around.

Bridal Shower & Beach Day

Parker, my mom and I went to Sarah's bridal shower in Lake Forest. Sarah was the maid of honor in my wedding and was one of my crazy roommates during college. She finally found her soul mate and will be getting hitched in November in Minnesota.
Hooray! We can't wait for that wedding.

The blushing bride is in the hot pink boa!

Me and P, my little prince. He looks so grown up here.

A Day at the beach with the fam. We went to Oceanside Beach; one of my favorites.

Parker was fascinated by the wet sand and kept wanting to scoop it up and put it in his mouth.

Snack time with grandma

Mommy day dreaming about someday owning a beachfront property. Ahhh, that would be the life...
Taking a siesta and breathing in the ocean air. Oh yeah, this is when I fell asleep too and burnt my ass. Nobody told me it was the only part of me sticking out of the shade of the umbrella. My Montana tan just couldn't hold up. :)

Long walk on the beach with the romantics.

Hmmm...who can I bean next with this shiny little ball?

The California Trip Rocked

Parker and I got back from California about a week ago. There's been a lot going on here and it's taken a while to resettle, hence the reason for several weeks between posts. And besides, there's too much summer to be had out there. We're happy it finally arrived here in Bozeman and are taking every minute to enjoy it.

Our California trip was perfect in every way, except for the fact that Daddy Husband Ryan missed us terribly. I think he was erring on the side of 'almost unbearable.' It was a good opportunity for him to sleep in, play video games, eat fast food, and not worry about emptying the poopy diaper trash can, but those reasons still didn't seem to help. He just plain missed us!

This may take several posts....

Parker with his sweet grandparents. They were so exicted to see him. My mom started crying as soon as she saw us coming down the escalator in the San Diego airport. She made me tear up a little. I miss them.

Great Grandpa Bean, Me and my brother Chev (no that's not his real name, that's just what I've nicknamed him and I can't really remember where it came from).

Cooling down in front of a fan on our only hot day in Cali. The rest of the time, the temp was very pleasant. Does this make the Guiness Book of World Records for the longest strand of drool?

First time in a high chair. He was still a little bit too small for the tray, but couldn't keep his mouth off of it.

Feed me now mommy or else I will devour your stupid plastic tray! We stopped using it after this. It was difficult to feed him his dinner, when he wanted to suck on his big new toy.

This kid's a foodie now! Since our trip, he's taken a disliking to plain old rice cereal or wheat cereal or oatmeal... He thinks he's too good for it, now that he's tried all the colors of the rainbow. I have to disguise it with peaches, or some other fruit, to get it down him.

P and his great grandmother, Mary Margaret.

One of the many 'fast' food experiences. We had to feed him dinner on the interstate a few times, since we had to make several trips for wedding festivities. He did well. He's an adaptable kid.

This is how the margarita making is done! My brother made this gas powered blender, with a real motorcycle throttle. It literally blended our margaritas in seconds (although I prefer mine on the rocks)!!! Oh yeah and the neighbors love it.

There was a lot of water play to be had.

Just chillaxin in the jacuz

He sports the California style very well!

Flying High

Parker flying high at Bozeman's new Dinosaur Park. It's just a stone's throw away from our house. We met up with Tamra and cousin Elle for a gander around the ponds and some swinging fun.

Trying to get him to look at the camera. He was fascinated with the chain.

Parker and Ellee ready for a nap after their afternoon at the Dino Park.

Parker and I are off to California for two weeks! This will be his second time flying. I don't have as much anxiety this time, since our last trip went smoothly. Our big plans in Cali include a Santa Barbara wedding and a bridal shower. We'll also pack in a few trips to the beach, visiting with friends and several San Diego excursions, amidst all the time we'll be spending splashing around in G-Ma & G-Pa's pool.

Helping mommy get packed

Trying on his hat that will match his cute jumper for my girlfriend's wedding

P excited to get some loving from his Grandma Judy, Granpda David and Uncle Everett (who have not seen him since he was 8 weeks old).

Sweet hat hair dude!
